The Power of Play:
Discover the essential role of play in early childhood and learn how to support it. We explore why play is the foundation of healthy development, supporting not only a child’s imagination but their emotional, physical, and social growth.
You will gain insight into how to lovingly support and encourage play in ways that honor your child’s natural curiosity, fostering confidence and creativity without pressure or overstimulation.
We’ll delve into what to expect at different ages and stages of play, understanding how play evolves as children grow—from the simple sensory play of infancy to the rich, creative play that unfolds in the preschool years. Practical guidance will be offered on setting up a nurturing environment that invites creative play—one that balances natural materials, gentle rhythms, and safe, open spaces both indoors and out. This space will encourage children to explore freely and deeply, inspired by the rhythms and values at the heart of Steiner Waldorf early childhood education.
By the end of the session, you’ll have useful ideas and inspiration to help your child thrive through the power of play.

What should I bring?
You might like to bring your own personal sewing kit. You may benefit from bringing your slippers as our floors look beautiful, but they can be cold on your feet!
